Sleeveless 1920's-Style Dress With Tablecloth Skirt
Sleeveless 1920's-Style Dress With Tablecloth Skirt
A very simple cotton/poly sheer voile dress in yellow floral print. It features a tubular sheath bodice with long bust darts and V-neck. Armholes are bias-bound. The square skirt is joined to bodice at the hip, and drapes down in four points, like a tablecloth.
Size is Medium (modern dress size 10-12), and cannot be made again. The dress is shown on a form that measures 39" bust, 29" waist, and 39" hip. If your body is an inch or two within those, it should fit fine. Dress pulls on over head, no zipper.
My days as a costume designer in Regional Theatre are now 25 years behind me, which means I've been doing contemporary and retro clothing design for a quarter century. About 7 years ago, a local Mardi Gras Krewe approached me about doing a runway show to raise money for charity. The theme was "Roaring 20's", which is a period I love for fashion. I said yes because I thought it would be fun, even though I knew the outfits would likely hang on my sale rack for years...the remaining 5 from the original 12 in what I named "The Speakeasy Collection" are now here on the "Boomerang" site. They can't be made again, and they only come in the size and color you see here. They are not previously worn, aside from the fashion show. Great for Theatre, cosplay, or even street wear with a period vibe.
