1920's- Style Dress With Tablecloth Skirt
This sheer cotton voile dress features a tubular sheath bodice with square skirt that falls into four points as a tablecloth would. The bodice is decorated with circular cape trimmed in deep pink lace, V-Neck with solid magenta cotton band. Two-piece 3/4-length sleeves have circular flounce, also trimmed in pink lace.
Size is Large, (modern dress size 14-16) and the dress cannot be made again. The dressform shown in the photos measures 42" bust, 32" waist, and 42" hip. If your body measures within an inch or two on either side, it should fit fine. Dress pulls on over head, no zipper.
My days as a costume designer in Regional Theatre are now 25 years behind me, which means I've been doing contemporary and retro clothing design for a quarter century. About 7 years ago, a local Mardi Gras Krewe approached me about doing a runway show to raise money for charity. The theme was "Roaring 20's", which is a period I love for fashion. I said yes because I thought it would be fun, even though I knew the outfits would likely hang on my sale rack for years...the remaining 5 from the original 12 in what I named "The Speakeasy Collection" are now here on the "Boomerang" site. They can't be made again, and they only come in the size and color you see here. They are not previously worn, aside from the fashion show. Great for Theatre, cosplay, or even street wear with a period vibe.
